Tooling scope and ownership

Tooling scope, ownership, storage, maintenance and any future modification requirements are defined in the quotation or project agreement for each program.

That keeps expectations clear on both sides before tooling is built, and gives you a documented reference when the design changes or the program is renewed.

Does RWS design weld fixtures?
Yes. Weld fixtures and production tooling are designed and built in-house, developed around the part, the welding process, weld access and production requirements.
Can RWS build tooling for robotic welding?
Yes. Robotic weld fixtures are built for our enclosed dual-station cell, with locating strategy and torch access reviewed as part of the design.
Is tooling required for every project?
No. Prototypes, one-offs and short runs are often produced without dedicated tooling. Tooling is recommended where repeatability across a production run justifies it.
Can existing fixtures be reviewed or modified?
Yes. Existing fixtures can be reviewed, and modifications can be made for approved design changes.
